In cosmetology is used in the composition of mineral salts in skin masks and hair shaft restructuring lotions.
Macadamia (nut) – macadamian oil nourishes skin with unsaturated fatty acids and lipids, which are necessary for the harmonization of skin metabolism, penetrates deep and protects the skin giving it a feeling of satin softness, contains palmitolic acid, which is of great importance for the maintenance of quickly aging skin.
Malassezia Furfur (or Pityrosporum Ovale) – the fungus that under certain conditions immediately begins to spread and promote the premature exfoliation of epidermal cells and skin peeling. The spread of this fungus may be provoked by a number of factors: vitamin deficiency, weakened immune system, internal organs diseases, disturbance of the metabolism and activity of hormones, stress, change in diet, improper hair care and styling agent selection, even by hot air of hair dryers, etc.
Malus Domestica, Malus Purus (apple) - the fruit cell culture extract is a liposomal preparation of apple stem cells, which are rich in epigenetic factors and metabolites, assuring the longevity of skin cells. The extract has been shown to protect skin stem cells and delay the senescence of hair follicles. It provides an anti-aging performance for real scalp and hair rejuvenation by delaying senescence of essential cells and combating a chronological aging processes.
Malva Silvestris (wild mallow) - flower extract gently cleanses and softens the skin, regulates oil excretion and skin moisture balance, reduces the skin sensitivity, improves skin elasticity, protects skin from aging.
Manganese - microelement needed for a bones and connective tissues, critical for healthy hair growth and strength.
Massage - a system of mechanical factors (friction, stroking, vibration) on the skin surface, is carried by hand or using special equipment or apparatus used for the treatment, relaxation, personal hygiene, etc.
Medulla – inner layer of the hair shaft.

It protects the scalp from irritation and helps hair stay cleaner for longer time. Menthol activates TRPM8 receptors, which regulate the content of intracellular calcium, contributes to blood circulation and metabolism stimulation.
Methionine – hair structural amino acid. A lot of it especially in keratin, which is a part of the protein and some peptides (glutathione).
Mica - from the Latin Micara (Gloss) - silicate mineral. In cosmetology used to obtain a special luster.
Milk Protein, Milk Casein - whey - one of the most effective and powerful tools of cosmetology. It saturates hair with all the necessary elements, stimulates metabolic processes in skin and hair roots, has a moisturizing, regenerating and revitalizing effect, especially useful for damaged hair.
Mimosa Tenuiflora - botanic etract is known to be capable of accelerating the processes of cell division and metabolism in the skin. It stimulates collagen synthesis, improves microcirculation and contributes to active oxygenation of tissues. Tannins account for up to 42% of the cortex and, therefore, it exerts an adequate tanning and anti-inflammatory effect for elimination of the seborrhea.
Minoxidil - the only US Food and Drug Administration approved topical medication that helps to treat Alopecia Androgenetica, or pattern hair loss and baldness, both Male Pattern Baldness and Female Pattern Hair Loss, by dilating small blood vessels in the scalp and stimulating the hair follicles to grow new hair. The exact mechanism by which it promotes hair growth is not completely understood. Minoxidil is a potassium channel opener, causing hyperpolarization of cell membranes. Hypothetically, by widening blood vessels and opening potassium channels, it allows more oxygen, blood, and nutrients to the follicle. This may cause follicles in the Telogen phase to shed, which are then replaced by thicker hairs in a new Anagen phase. Minoxidil is a pro-drug activated by sulfation via the Sulfotransferase (SULT1A1). Several studies demonstrated that the activity of Sulfotransferase in hair follicles predict minoxidil response in the treatment of hair loss. Minoxidil is also a vasodilator. Minoxidil is less effective when there is a large area of hair loss. In addition, its effectiveness has largely been demonstrated in younger men who have experienced hair loss for less than 5 years. Minoxidil use is indicated for central (vertex) hair loss only. Generally, while Minoxidil is approved to treat hair loss in both men and women, the solution is more effective in treating Female Pattern Hair Loss than Male Pattern Baldness, according to the American Hair Loss Association. It typically takes up to six months before the beneficial effects of Minoxidil become apparent and the medication must be continued indefinitely to sustain hair regrowth.
